Wonderful stay in Garmisch!
✓ The mountain view from the room was beautiful! Nice little table and chair on the terrace as well. The breakfast staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and I really enjoyed being able to order the scrambled eggs, bacon, omelettes, etc fresh! It makes all the difference. The coffee was excellent as well.
✗ The pillow on the bed was really big so it made it difficult to sleep as you couldn't lay your head flat. The hotel is also not very sound proof so you can hear everything in the hall and in other rooms nearby.

✓ For 82eur per night I had excellent breakfast and mini SPA with very fine sauna and super small yet fine swimming pool. Plus incredible view of maintains from my room. Yes it is not the best hotel out there but it has charm and has at this price awesome value to offer. By the way it is close to the center and train station. It also has something special attracting interesting people. If you book keep your expectations in line with the price.
✗ I would have hoped to get the tourist card for free buses upon arrival as I would have saved 10eur in getting to Eibsee. Coffee and scramble eggs could be refined.
