Brilliant hotel.

✓ Excellent quaint hotel, lovely location, food, drinks and room. Ideally placed for the steam railway and local attractions. Really helpful staff and loved the key fobs!

✓ Check in/out was easy and fast. On site parking was perfect. Room was spotlessly clean, with large comfotable bed, Full English breakfast was excellent and tasty, and last (but not least) all the staff we encountered were very pleasant, attentive and friendly.

An ideal base for exploring Pickering and the surrounding area

✓ I stayed here in September 2020 and it was nice to come back to a fully open and bustling Pickering. I had a different room this time - 15 - a smart, quiet and comfortable room in the converted stables block. The White Swan Inn is a 16th century former coaching inn and retains the style and character with all the modern conveniences. Although the car park entrance is narrow the car park itself is big with lots of shady parking (keeping the car cool). As an added bonus, the staff are all incredibly friendly & welcoming. I stayed 2-nights, using Pickering as a base to take a ride on the NYMR heritage line, visit the castle, the church of St Peter & Paul with its medieval wall paintings and the excellent Beck Isle Museum, which was closed when I came in 2020 (understandably). The location in the heart of the town is perfect for exploring on foot. Pickering might not be very big but there's a surprising amount to see and do and the White Swan Inn is an ideal base.

Cozy but boutique stay in the centre of Pickering. Great food and lovely staff!

✓ A lovely spacious room with everything needed and a real cosy feel. Fantastic friendly staff and lovely food for dinner and breakfast! Also perfect location for the train station to go on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway line which is what I was looking for initially.
