perfect accomodation very close to the beach

✓ the proximity to the beach is super, the accomodation new and very clean ..James and Faith kindness and warm welcome makes your stay perfect. Its a pleasure to talk to them. I definitely would come back again and again.

✗ nothing to mention. if you are into cooking, bring food. there is no shop around

✗ -you have to sign a two-page sheet full of rules, with everything I did there I was afraid that it's forbidden and I have to pay... -had to pay 40 dollars depot -not a hostel vibe -beds are uncomfortable

✗ At this price, add a curtain a the dorms window, mosquitos net and propers fans. And seriously, 100usd security deposit for 1 night in a dorm is too much.

✓ We liked the location of the hostel. Its not on the main beach of San Juan del sur but on a beach thats even more beautiful. Its the perfect place for surf beginner. we liked our room and the shared kitchen had everything you need. we also liked Faith and James as hosts. The communication was very easy and they gave us a lot of information. we can really recommend this hostel and would stay there again.

✗ there was no door in the bathroom in our privat room. it was no big deal but good to know.

I am wondering how we get to the property from SJDS, we don’t have a car and also is there good surfing near by and boards to rent. thanks

SJDS is a 15 min $10 taxi ride or $3 surf shuttle ride. Remanso beach, steps away, is the premier location for SJDS surf schools to truck-in their students every day. Board rental available. Playa Tamarindo is a 20 minute hike away for bigger waves.
