A decent place to stay but needs a lot of upgrades; Relaxing Tropical Studio #5

✓ The studio was at a great price for length of time of my stay.

✗ PR Studio APT 5 Review Everything in the studio apartment was operational and functional however, the A/C was not big enough to keep the studio cool. Maybe because the door is not sealed, hot air flows through the entire edge of the door. The bathroom remains hot all day and if you keep the bathroom door open the A/C struggles more. The toilet in this APT is placed directly in front of the sink which makes it hard to sit if you are taller than 4ft and I’m 6ft 2in. The main ceiling light also radiates lots of heat so it’s best to keep it off although the lamp is very dim. It does not have a hot plate or stove but does have a microwave, fridge, sink, a counter top toaster, and an indoor grill on the deck. Lastly, the parking is horrible, the residents block off majority of the available parking as if they are doing construction on their homes but they are not, they’re just keeping parking for themselves while they go to work.

Fabulous

✓ Just 8 mins to the beach, nice terrace, grill on the porch, very close to restaurants, close to busses to everywhere in the city. A/C worked very well. I would definitely stay here again if I'm back in San Juan.

✗ Didn't bother me too much but keep in mind that the water can be cold at times. And the wifi was spotty on one day.

The apartment is compact and not at all fancy. The main advantage is its proximity to the beach.

✓ Edwin is the most wonderful host ever! He helped me in so many ways and was always available whenever I needed to ask him anything. I can't compliment him enough...he is just a great person and host.

✗ The apartment is in the back and there are some very tiny stairs going up to it. Some people who live just behind are very loud and spend a lot of time outside, so you hear them a lot. The only comfortable place to sit is outside on the deck.
