Fabulous

✓ Nice and quite a good big hotel. Night manager was really proffesional and try to help in all situation, forexample give advice how to get Firenze by car, and were the best way to park it. Room was clean and nice.

✗ Too many russians in a hotel, they always complain to everybody that they dont like everything, make a noise, and no speak english or any other language.

4 Stars hotel past its prime but OK - excellent position if travelling through highway

✗ Insufficient lifts, always packed late afternoon/morning - very average breakfast and absolutely undrinkable coffee

✓ The reception area of the hotel is quite impressive as is the decor in the restaurant - definitely four-star - but the rest of the hotel is not. Almost everything is dated and could very well have been as it was 30 years ago. It should be downgraded to at least a three star, I wonder who assigns these ratings. Location is good for traIvellers driving their own vehicles or coming on package tours but not for those coming on public transport.

✗ The two elevators are extremely small: while the capacity is stated to be five but these accommodate only two persons with luggage. Just as we arrived and were to go up to our rooms, there came a bus full of package tour guests and we had to wait a fair bit before being able to go up. Many of the guests just used the stairs - even those with some heavy luggage, they could easily build an external elevator. Soon thereafter another bus-load came in, The restaurant did not offer any vegetarian options - and hence we had to drive to town to find food late in the evening. There was no electric kettle in the room which is standard even in 2-star or lesser hotels in other countries. The bed was so soft - as the foam had lost its consistency that I had to put a pillow under my waist just to be able to sleep flat. The wifi was also not very strong. When asking for an additional stay of an hour, was informed that it would be 30 euros per room. The breakfast was also just OK.

Convenient and comfortable, good value for money within reach of Florence

✓ This couldn’t have met my needs any better. More comfortable than I was expecting, plenty of parking and easy access to and from the main connecting highways.

Poor

✗ In the middle of nowhere...not ideal if you are traveling to Florence for tourism. You need to take a cab to city centre, and the place is not connected with bus/ train service. Hotel staff initially provided a standard double bedroom for our triple room. The triple room which was provided was still the same cramped small room but with a small additional bed. Very basic services for a 4 star hotel - no press to iron your clothes (even after request), no kettle or hot water to drink (staff will conveniently divert you to the restaurant who then conveniently refuse), very basic breakfast with virtually no one to serve
