Nice apartment, would stay again.
✓ I spent a month in Japan, and this was the best room of all and the best bathroom of all. And the only really comfy bed in the whole trip.
✗ Since there's no staff in this hotel, we enter the room using a code. The code is the same for all visitors, so in theory a past visitor could enter your room. That's acceptable only because Japan is very safe, but not ideal. The windows let in a lot of light during the day, which was not a problem for me, but could be for some.

Fabulous
✓ Cleanliness, well equipped kitchen, tranquil surrounding with 2 convenience stores nearby. Chipped a pc of drinking glass n owner did not impose replacement cost.
✗ Bean bags too low for senior folks. Chairs wud be more appropriate/ comfortable.

✓ As we were driving, so location is not an issue. The room is cozy enough for family of 3. extra blanket and pillow were provided. Self check-in experience was alright with email on check-in date so the process is smooth and clear. small kitchen and microwave provided which is good for reheating food from the convenient stores.
✗ The toilet is separated from the shower. Not a big issue, just not used to it.

Thank you for your message. It's about 10 minutes on foot. You have to climb a slope, so it might be a little tough for the elderly. Take the bus from Hakone yumoto station and get off at the Yumoto Nakajuku bus stop, and the hotel is right there.
