Loved the apartment and Matera!

✓ We were in what felt like the heart of the Sassi. We were able to walk almost everywhere, cafes and restaurants were close by. Simona was super helpful and lovely to deal with, nothing was too much trouble. The layout of the apartment suited us perfectly. We were two separate women, so one bed up and down was large enough to give us both space. Matera is a very special place, if possible make time to see it.

✗ We loved everything about the property. There are bin collections quite early in the morning if you are a light sleeper. The shower is over the bath so it would be useful to have a non slip mat in the bath. Nothing mentioned here may not matter to others and it did not detract from our stay.

Very special and homely place in a fantastic location

✓ Stunning property in a fantastic location with an excellent host who helped us with some incredible recommendations for cafes that made our trip. This was the highlight of our trip around the region. Very homely with a cute courtyard, very unique and special - we loved it. The beds are also super comfortable and it is a quiet area at night with some of the fancier restaurants on the street. Fantastic!

✓ in the middle of old town. have a taste of living in the old house with modern facilities. close to good restaurants and rock church nearby. got washing machine

Fabulous

✓ This was the perfect stay for visiting Matera! Right in the centre, and close by to all the cluster of restaurants and little bars. I stayed with a friend so it was nice to have two separate beds - the mezzanine is very convenient! Good bathroom facilities, and some snacks in the kitchen. We visited in low season, so it was quiet, I'm not sure what the noise level would be like in the height of a busy summer. The host was so lovely and accommodating, and very responsive. Gave us some great restaurant recommendations and loved the bar nearby (can't recall the name - it's very small but tucked into a cave and has amazing views and a good vibe).

✗ No parking facilities - so car was parked about an 8min walk away - think about EUR 10 per day? But i would still prefer to stay in the centre of Matera and leave the car anyway than stay on the outskirts. It's amazing being in the centre of such a historic place!

Is there space to secure a motorcycle?

Unfortunaly no, there isn't. But the old city of Matera is very safe and quite so you can park your motorcycle on the sidewalk in front of the apartment!

Is there a washing machine for clothes?

Yes, there is! At the check-in let me know you want use and I’ll also give you a dryness rack.

I there a private parking?

There isn't a private parking near the house because is in the center of the old city. We offer a car place in a covered parking around 1 km from the flat, in this case we help you with your luggage!
