Set in a pink building with garden and terrace, the family-managed Albergo Junior is just 500 metres from Padua Train Station. All rooms offer air conditioning.

✓ Really pleasant, helpful host. Homely feel to the hotel. Very comfortable bed. Proximity to railway station.
✗ Quite dated bedroom with very small bathroom. However, everything in the room functioned properly and was spotlessly clean.
✓ The friendly host was helpful and welcoming. I liked the quiet suburban location. Very clean. Single room was big enough, and bathroom, while poky, was fine. Especially considering the price. Good wifi, good a/C.
✗ Nil
✓ People there are welcoming and rooms are well-equipped. Also price is very reasonable.
✗ The area where the hotel is located is not safe. I came at night and there were A LOT of suspicious people around. They would also make nasty noises which really really scared me. Also air conditioner in the room is very loud and its intensity cannot be regulated which made it hard to sleep there.
✓ The host was pleasant and the room was clean.
✗ As a solo girl traveler I didn’t really feel so safe in the area.
✓ The good thing is that the hosts clean and tidy the room every day, replenish toilet paper and soap and are kind.
✗ A family house, not a hotel.Breakfast is packaged croissant, packs of butter, marmalade, processed cheese, readymade cake slice. It is stressful that via Booking the hosts answered on the 4 day after I wrote to them.I had a serious reason to look for them.On Booking it is mentioned they respond within 24 hours. It is fearing that Booking also did nothing. After writing to an agent(chat lasted 2 days),I was told that a letter was sent to the host, not knowing when or if he will respond.Unprofessional behavior and inefficient service by Booking!Although with the lack of a timely response from the host,I decided not to raise an issue, being on spot,as I found the host didn't speak English or other foreign language. It is unacceptable to advertise a hotel on an international platform and to search for foreign customers when there is a language barrier. The remote control of the air con is in a box and can't be set.I have had a spinal operation and I have to keep out of cold. But with window open there is noise. At the bus stop in front of the house some dirty deals occur.Africans talk loudly all night long, whom no one dares to make a remark that they disturb the night calm. For 2 nights I couldn't sleep due to their loud calls/talks.Several times they ran away at a high speed,as seconds later police cars drove by. Apparently the locals are afraid. The hotel has video surveillance, automatically controlled doors from inside and a constantly hanging sign that it is full.Surrounding houses also have grids. The area is not safe.I hardly saw any Italians.Mainly Africans, also Pakistanis and Asians.Few times in daylight I was verbally assaulted and mocked by Africans,no matter I was decently dressed. In the building across the street a muslim church on Sunday afternoon put oriental music very loudly,no respecting the legal hours for rest.Evidently locals are afraid to make remarks and call the police. It felt as I wasn't in Europe and in Italy.
✓ The "oldschool" vibes that it gave.
✗ It was too far away from the centre.
✓ - Convenient location for sightseeing in Padova and Venice - Very clean - Free breakfast (small, but it gets your day started) - Friendly host who makes sure you have everything you need and you have a great stay
✗ - TV is small and not many channels available
✓ Cosy little hotel near the train station. Very clean, extremely affable staff. Good price, they even provide some little breakfast.
✗ There's nothing to mention.
