fantastic family owned b&b

✓ it was just what i was looking for --very close to the airport (maybe 15 min max) with an airport pickup that was on time and helpful-- a local family run business rather than a hotel chain -- affordable and with food options! I was picked up promptly at 11pm and the owner Charles himself met me upon arrival my room was comfy, clean, own bathroom, AC that works great, 2 towels, good wifi, and they refilled my water bottle :) the bed is nice, i slept well! the meal was a simple vegetarian meal as requested, and i thought the prices were fair. the family was very friendly :)

✗ honestly, nothing! some people may prefer darker curtains but the sun didnt wake me up so I was fine! Not noisy at all. There's no hot water but it's hot in Dar and i was fine with that! shower worked well!

Great home stay in Dar - close to the airport

✓ Lovely family stay and great value for money if you are looking for a place close to the airport. Very nice breakfast (included in the price) and they also serve dinner every night which was tasty too (Tanzanian dishes) for $4 Loz who serves the food and takes care of the place was lovely - it was nice to chat with her Charles (Owner) was of great help with booking services and also let me store my suitcase there while I traveled around (I stayed with the family twice :)

✗ There are two rooms available - the dorm and the double room. The dorms were in great shape (downstairs). The double room was OK but a bit more stuffy

Good location for first or last night in Tanzania. Close to the airport.

✓ Close to the airport. It is a home stay so there are private rooms with a bathroom but it is a living in a family house. Clean and comfortable. Working air-conditioning and the Internet. Possibility to buy meals. Possibility to order transport to the airport. I've paid partially by shillings and partially by dollars, which was very convenient at the end of stay in Tanzania.

Good for staying in the night before an early flight

✓ Very friendly owner and a beautiful garden, very cheap, close to the airport

✗ Bathroom not very clean, very hot during the night as AC didn't seem to work, making arrangements for airport transfer took some time

Great stay close to the airport

✓ The hosts were super nice. They provided us with a delicious dinner. Then one of them is a teacher and showed us the school where he is giving kids extra lessons in the evening and he let us speak with the children. That was a very interesting experience. Overall, the rooms were fine and according to our expectations.

✗ I booked a single room but there were none left so the host asked if it‘s ok for me to sleep in the dorm. He also gave me a refund. That was also fine for me, just prepare to be flexible.
