iH Hotels Bari Oriente

A nice central hotel.

✓ Location, near Bari Vecchia, bars and restaurants, and the waterfront. A wonderful elegant breakfast buffet with scrambled eggs, meats, cheeses and even gf items. Breakfast caffè was wonderful. My bathroom was big and functional but oddly arranged, with toiletries behind the big door. The air conditioning worked well. Staff was friendly.

✗ I had Room 208, an interior room that looked onto a decent big central space, but it was quite dark even at midday. The dark carpeting,  even if it were new, did not help. My room was cramped with a single big old desk chair that was always in the way.

✓ Excellent location, staff friendly, welcoming and helpful. Room was very clean. The bathroom had nice amenities. Loved the roof top patio😊

Good base for a couple of nights in chilled

✓ Good sized rooms, solid location on main drag (but NB location online is wrong, it’s 100 yards up from the red theatre). Nice staff, chilled place.

✗ Water not provided in rooms. Breakfast decent but fruit a bit average and too many sweet pastries. Nothing major.

Pleasant

✓ Bar on the roof only in 100 degree temperatures and that was the only place to eat except main floor breakfast. However they did offer to serve me in the breakfast area for a supper due to the heat. No hot water for both mornings for my shower and no real discount available because I hadn’t booked direct.

Fine hotel close to all interesting spots in Bari.

✓ Very good localisation. Tasty breakfasts. Nice and helpful personnel.

✗ Room was quite small for relative high price, so if you have more than one suitcase you'll probably have a problem with finding place for it (standard room).

✗ I felt very bad and the receptionist was not nice and understanding of my needs. Nobody could help me with watching any international channel like CNN or others.

✓ I like the location. The room was small we ere lucky to have a window (but it did not face the street. We were told we are lucky that we are facing the back of all the other building, at least we can open the window and get fresh air. Also please note that making a reservation months in advance dont matter at all you can request what you need and want but if they have a group or too staying at the same time you are at the end of the list.The bath room had no ventilation fan and no window, For an older person Not having an emergency pull string is not safe. when I complain about the ant crawling in the room I was told "probably the previous gust left cramps in the room" and they sent the chamber maid to replace the bedding and clean the floors

✗ The attitude  of the personal not nice .. At  breakfast the scrambled eggs were always cold, and so were the hard boiling egg. They charge money to make a fresh fried egg and these also arrive cold at the table. large selection of fruit  was very good and a ton of pastry. but no fresh  vegetable  Like every where in Italy you get plenty of coffee as you like it for breakfast . If you ask soap at the front desk it took for ever to arrive and the response was " it is hard to find employee"
