We would stay again

EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT STAFF. very comfortable bed. Clean room.

Our room needed a re-vamp - dirty bath tiles and scuffed woodwork (although the basic cleaning was fine) We would have liked to see some fruit at breakfast time, even if there was tinned grapefruit

Good stay

Great location, perfect for a gig at the Town Hall and right next to the Castle. Lovely, friendly staff (if not enough of them). The bar terrace was a comfortable place to relax and had excellent views. Nice breakfast.

Bit understaffed, long waits for service at check-in and at the bar

Frequently Asked Questions

Q

Hi, how late can I check in? I will arrive around 10:00-10:30 PM Thank you

Dear Sir/Madam 10 - 10.30pm check in is no problem, as the front of house staff will be able to check you in, but if it is going to be any later please give us a call so we can give you the door key code. Many thanks, kind regards Sharon

Q

can you just have accommodation with out the breakfast

Yes that is no problem at all. The room charge will be less £10 per person, per night if no breakfast is required.

Q

Do you have a room on ground floor or an elevator as one member of our party is disabled?

I am really sorry but we are a grade 11 listed building so we are not allowed to fit an elevator to access the lower and upper levels. The entrance level is accessed via some outside steps and the dinging area, reception and bar is on this level.

Q

Is there onsite or close laundry facilities (washer & dryer)?

No nearby laundry facilities, however if the guest has washing they need doing they can ask at reception, and we may be able to accommodate the request.

Q

Pet friendly room 7 of September

Dear Sir/Madam All our rooms are pet friendly, including public areas, we love welcoming our furry guests, however there is a one off charge of £20 added to the room charge to cover the extra cleaning involved. Kind regards Sharon

Q

Good afternoon, is it possible to specify a room with a bath (not just a shower), please?

It is no problem at all to specify either bath or shower, and if we have a room available for the booking date requested, with the specified choice we can book that room for you.

Q

WE ARE LOOKING FOR ACC. FOR 4 ADULTS (OCT 21-24) ONE ROOM MUST BE MAIN FLOOR (NO STAIRS) IS THIS SOMETHING YOU CAN ACCOMODATE

WE ARE REALLY SORRY BUT THERE ARE STEPS AT THE FRONT OF THE HOTEL TO GET INTO THE MAIN RECEPTION, AND THEN STAIRS EITHER UP OR DOWN TO THE ROOMS, SO DO NOT THINK IT WILL BE SUITABLE.

Q

Are dogs allowed in all rooms? trying to book a room and it doesn't state if a dog is allowed.

We are a dog friendly hotel, so please bring your furry friend along!

Q

I’ve booked a double room for 3 nights from Friday 29 April. Can our dog stay? Also we would require a shower, not a bath. Please can you confirm thx

We are a dog friendly hotel, however we do have a dog charge of £20 to cover extra cleaning costs. We can accommodate you in having a shower and not a bath.

Q

H lol, how much do you charge for dogs ?

Thank you for your question. We have a limited number of dog-friendly rooms available and charge £20 for your canine companion to cover additional cleaning. Hope that helps!
