✓ The owner shows his warmly hospitality. He offered a pickup and drop down service for skiing and Myoko Kogen station. breakfasts and dinners are good !

✗ The location is quite far away from the ski resorts. Not many restaurants are nearby. The nearest one, you need to take six minute's walk. The onsen is in the other house opposite the lodge. You need to go outside the lodge and get to the onsen.

the owners are the nicest people in japan! i would recommend staying there just to have the experience of meeting them!

✓ The host and his wife is very kind and helpful. You can feel a warm welcome when you first meet him. We wanted to stay near Myoko Suginohara but almost all accommodations were booked at that time, but Moomin Papa was happy to accommodate us and picked us up from Myokokogen station. He also offered to bring us to Suginohara and picked us up after finished skiing since we had no car. We also received discounted ski passes, ¥3600 and rentals, ¥3600 for 2 days altho we spent a night only. Moomin papa also offered a ride if we couldn’t find a transport from Suginohara to the station on the second day. The accommodation was clean, comfortable enough, with free onsen service in front of the pension. There were lots of Moomin characters inside the house, very cute. We couldn’t find any bad experience during the stay. We were very satisfied with our stay, and the price was very reasonable. We saved a lot when staying here. The couples couldn’t speak English well, but never failed to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. He has a grandpa vibe. Please stay here if you want to find a budget stay but still want to have a good experience. Also he replied fast in the messages. Thank you Moomin Papa. We really had a great stay. 10-min walk to Imori-ike pond.
