✓ Great location, close to ski fields (some even walking distance) and restaurants. It has its own onsens that were nice to use after a day of snowboarding. Rooms were spacious with lots of storage. Lots of parking outside. The lady who runs the accommodation is very nice and gave us some fruits and vegetables.

✗ THIS IS NOT A SKI IN accommodation. You have to walk along a busy public road to get to and from closest ski field Ikenotaira. Common areas are cold, heaters turn off every 3 hours (even in the dry room, so in the morning it will be as cold as outside). No common areas to hang out, no decent cooking facilities. If you are travelling with a group of friends and staying a few days in Myoko, i would recommend booking something else. It is also rather old and not very clean. Although it is run by a very old couple so it's understandable. The aircon in the second room was not working so the guys had to ask for a heater. Walls and ceilings are very thin so you can hear everything that's happening outside of your room.

Great place run by lovely elderly couple

✓ It was an old style Japanese house run by super lovely elderly couple. They were extremely friendly and helpful with providing information, booking taxi, etc. Also, Japanese style breakfast was absolutely delicious! The room is a bit cold, but once you turn on the heater, it warms up within 3 min. Also, the accommodation is just 5 min walk from an onsen.
