This beachfront Island of Flores hotel is 6 minutes’ walk from the Embarcadero boat pier and the Flores bust terminal. La Posada De Don Jose features free WiFi in public areas, coffee, and purified water.

✓ great location, rooms were clean and they provide drinking water!
✗ most of the power points are only 2 prongs rather than 3 so if you have an overseas adapter they may not fit (not an issue, just an advisory)
✓ Nice location, close to restuarants, bars but also to the bridge. Very friendly and supporting owner - it was a pleasure to chat with hi. Very pretty lounge area - you actually site at the water
✗ cold water under shower (no warm water)
✓ Central location with a beautiful lake view.
✓ Location is great. Price was veey reasonable. Two beds were great
✗ Room was freshly paint so it smelled like that a lot. AC only for extrq charge. They can organise trip to tikal for you but they had very little informations about it. They couldnt say how many people would be in group, if there be a English guide or when exactly we would depart or get back. One bed was old and need mattress replacement
✓ WiFi good, ac worked well (crucial in the weather), friendly staff, comfortable bed. nice deck in the back where you can relax and watch boats shuttle people across the lake
✗ location near dock where boat played loud music late at night. only room temperature water in shower. toilet located in very narrow space
✓ Location at the very shore of the lake, nice patio.
✗ I booked 5 A/C rooms for the group of friends. On arrival they offered 4 standard rooms and 1 in the area "without electricity" - means no light, no A/C, no power in sockets, full darkness also in adjacent hotel area and intensive smell of mold. Staff at the reception simply said nothing else is available. We refused and found other hotel, decent but a lot more expensive., like often when doing last minute changes. Our friends stayed in other 4 rooms, but also complained about very loud A/C, some of them had to switch it off to sleep. WiFi was not working anywhere in the hotel, restarted early next morning but we left 6am to Tikal so it was useless anyway.
✓ clean, close to everything, affordable, friendly staff,
✗ Loud Regueton next door late into the night; outlet carried electricity to my computer and shocked me
✗ The beds were damp from the heat in the room and the bed sheets had stains on it which you could pick off. The shower didn’t turn on which was disappointing when the bed was damp so I wanted to have a shower. It was the cheapest hotel so you get what you pay for.
Por nuestra ubicación geográfica lo más recomendable es de marzo a octubre, aunque nunca hace frío extremo para no poder disfrutar del lago y sus playas.
