✓ Hotel, staff, bar and food all excellent.

I enjoyed it!

✓ Lovely pub in a lovely position with great garden, overlooking rocks and country. Good restaurant with great food and good beer Comfy room, good bathroom.

✗ Only drawback was loud noise of lorries on main road at 4am!

Overnight stay for work.

✓ Check in was easy and the room was spotless with everything I needed. The bathroom was great with good lighting and a fab shower with non slip mat and nice toiletries. There are plenty of sockets and the lighting in the room is good. I thought the bed was very comfortable and I slept well. I ate in the restaurant which is to be recommended.

✗ It would have been nice to have some water in the room and a little flask for milk instead of cartons.

Lovely trip to Leek.

✓ Lovely comfortable and quiet room with lovely bathroom with shower. Great parking and a very nice restaurant for evening food and breakfast. Set in beautiful countryside. Helpful staff. There was a fan in the cupboard to use as it was hot this was important. The room was dark with black out curtains which closed properly and no annoying outside lights. The room key card worked perfectly everytime.

✗ I would prefer to have milk available for coffee or tea in a cool flask in the room rather than long life cartons. I asked for a business invoice which was going to be sent to me but I dont have it as yet.

✓ Really attractive country Inn. Great staff

✗ The only issue I had was with the pillows. WAY too big and extremely dense; not pleasant to sleep on at all. My recommendation...take your own, if you can.

Two night midweek stay for work.

✓ The room was very nice and well-appointed and the wifi was good. Tea and coffee provided but no water in the classic double rooms. Comfortable bed with an opening window and tv which worked well. The bathroom was very clean with a very nice corner shower and clean fluffy towels. Fantastic car park. I had a meal in the restaurant which was nice. Breakfast was good but a little limited (no vegan food, no tomatoes or hashbrowns etc).

✗ My welcome was a little lukewarm as I had been asked to collect the key from the bar as I arrived just after 9pm...the barman was a little gruff about collecting the key but then showed me to my room and carried my bag so all ok in the end. There was a lot of noise with people arguing loudly in the corridor outside my room after 11 pm which was rather unsettling. I thought my room and the food was a little overpriced. The water in the bathroom was hot, even the cold tap and the shower was difficult to regulate to a cool or warm temperature also being extremely hot and too hot to shower in which was a pity.
