Lovely inexpensive, upstairs large apartment in suburb of Douala. Nice owner.

✓ A large upstairs apartment, which I had all to myself. A carpeted apartment containing a large lounge with 2 couches, a TV and air condition. Also a kitchen with gass or electric cooker, fridge-freezer, sink, some dishes and pans and a kettle. Bathroom had a sink, a toilet with running water and a shower on the wall. Also with running water. Towel may have been provided, not sure. Bedroom had a fan machine, a large double bed with bedding provided. Plug socket near bed. small table near bed. Window in bedroom. The lounge also has windows. The accommodation is half way along a rough African style street, not best suted for cars to drive. Apartment has parking on ground floor. The Apartment/guesthouse is on second floor, reached by steps. Keys are provided to enter/exit apartment and also for kitchen and bedroom. A shop nearby to buy drinks and snacks. The owner can be reached by mobile phone and is quite friendly. She speaks English. Information on how to access the free, good speed WiFi maybe in the apartment, but being a blind guest, I had to wait for the owner to help me access it.

✗ Couldn't find any rubbish bin in lounge, kitchen, bathroom or bedroom. Accidentally broke TV and had to pay 300 Euros for it. Air condition in bedroom not that cool. Not enough available plug sockets in lounge or in bedroom. Had to wait a long time for owner to come and assist with accessing WiFi. No tea/coffee in kitchen. Fridge-freezer wasn't plugged in and appeared unused. No ice in Freezer. No towels in apartment. No hand soap in bathroom.
