Would not recommand - watch out for hidden costs
✓ The only good sides: you meet the owner there wich doesn’t bother you and sometimes works in the garden, seems a nice guy and has nothing to do with the management of renting his property which is awful. He makes cheeses which are served to you in the morning and are super delicious. There is a young girl, Eleonora which comes in the morning and makes breakfast, she is very polite and nice. The location is nice and quiet. Not ok (i don’t have space left in the section😄): the famous cleaning (charged extra 40 euro) is never happening during the stay. You only find the place cleaned (not me😄) and it will be cleaned after you leave. Never once during my 4 nights has the trash been taken out at least. The guy that came at night to take my money and give me the key (for which I paid 50 euros not found in the invoice) texted me that I am rude to arrive that late. The Supervisor (Simone) asked me 6 hours before arrival to pay 200 aditional euro in case we damage something. Should be a joke but it isn’t. He gave up on the idea after we argued.
✗ First of all, it was written on booking that no prepayment is necesarry. However, Antica Carasei tried to take the money from my card 2 days before. They could not, and after a call at the bank I was told that the transaction is not secure. Called booking, told them, all they could do is write Antica an email because they didn’t answer the phone. I had the money on the card by the way. Also tried to cancel but they did not agree and I had to pay everything if so. After a few argues with a manager called Simone, I find out that my only option is to pay when I arrive, cash or card, and an overcharge of 50 euros because I arrive at midnight (that was my plane). Also, besides my price on booking of 466 euro for 4 nights after booking I get a tax of 40 euros for cleaning. Mandatory of course🤣. Skipping further, when I am driving and am 30 minutes close to them the guy that I pay 50 euros to give me the key at midnight starts texting me very upset that I am arriving late and “where are you, having trouble?”… We finally meet and he is in a big hurry (not Simone, other guy) and shows me the room. My wife and I are tired after a flight and drive and do not realise only after he leaves in a hurry and stressed that the room is obviously not clean after the previous customer. In the morning this confirms and they apologise and give us another room. The bed is the worst I slept in, is very small, one person, you can see in the photos. I asked when booking but they said “many couples slept there”, yes right, probably on top of each other. Overall a very bad experience and would not recommend. Sleeping in a dirty bed first night in the wrong room, hair on the pillows, dirty towels in the bathroom… awful way to start a holiday. And I remind you, it should have been 460 euro on booking, but they added 40 for cleaning (???), and 50 for late check in (which did not appear on the invoice!). Awful management.
