Surprising and Convenient

✗ I assumed that I had booked the entire unit and not a bedroom within it. It was a bit awkward for all residents.

Disappointing 'Luxury Apartments': Misleading, Poor Amenities, and False Promises

✓ The host proactively provided me the full details to access the property via a code ahead of time. The balcony had an amazing view to the sea and the outside pool. The property was a good size overall, Particularly the communal spaces such as the living room and kitchen. It was easy to access the wifi

✗ The property was poor and misleading in a number of ways. It was called ‘ luxury apartments’ but was far from luxury. The condition of the room (not fully cleaned), furniture (damage table, chairs etc) and it’s amenities (a cheap iron, no ironing board, very small shower gels) were poor at best. On the Booking.com site it said they provided a free airport shuttle (which was one of the key reasons I booked) but I was then charged $30 for the journey. When I asked apartment contact why I was charged I was told the manager would be in contact but she never did. As a solo traveler it would have been great to have some recommendations about local restaurants and services that I could have taken advantage of. It is not made clear on the Booking.com site that you are booking a room in a shared apartment. They only confirmed this after. If you’re traveling solo I wouldn’t recommend staying in this accommodation or location (Freeport) as it will be expensive to travel into the main tourist areas. I would recommend staying on the Hipstrip.

✗ It was perfect for my needs. The door to the back lock (sliding door) was fiddly. Was actually observed to be unlocked during the night

✗ The bathroom need repairs. Toilet was really old and shower drain and control handle keep falling off.

Loved the location and the sea view!

✓ Location is great and it’s secure. I loved the sea view and the access from both the lounge and bedroom to the outside patio. Had everything I needed for my 2 night stay.

✗ The cruise ships close by were quite noisy - I could hear loud music and announcements clearly when I had the patio door open (nothing serious but would annoy me if I lived in such an upmarket area).
