Lovely stay, staff were amazing and very kind.

Cute but secluded spot to stay

✓ The staff were helpful in organizing a safari and driver to town. Room was comfortable and air conditioning was grand. Swimming pool was nice and a relaxing area to lay in.

✗ The location of the hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere. You can either get a return tuk tuk to town for 3,000 or pay for dinner at the guest house for around the same price per person. We didn’t realize how secluded the area was/how far out it was from any shops. The room was nice and you could tell they had tried hard to clean it but it just looked a little dirty. All the glass had smears on it and the bathroom had cockroaches inside during the evening (although this is quite standard for this climate) We asked for a blanket for the bed - they did not have any. Again, I just don’t like sleeping with only a sheet but it would be good if they some blankets available.

✗ Food: no Sri Lankan food options. They also have these set menus but they are a bit theoretic, in the absence of Sri Lanka food options I made my choice based on the dessert and then they didn't have that dessert. There are lots of shortages in the country so the latter is understandable but the lack of Sri Lanka food isn't I think

Exceptional

✓ Calm, quiet and relaxing place. The staff were friendly and helped us with every request we made. It was in a less touristy place which we preferred. The room was big and very comfortable. Good hot water shower and other facilities too. They provided us with a lovely breakfast at 5- 5.30am everyday to take on our morning safari tours which was great. We really enjoyed our stay at Rock Wild, a lovely boutique hotel.

High Class Experience with the Best Staff I have ever seen.

✓ Special thanks to Mr Jason - Villa Manager, Mr Bastian - Executive Chef & the rest of the staff. They were so friendly with us. They looked after all our needs and gave us an excellent service. The food was so delicious and we were so lucky to taste some international and local menus which we never experienced before. The property was so beautiful and unique. The stay at Rock Wild was so comfortable & relaxing.
