Comfort and location - but bring earplugs.

✓ The location couldn’t be better in theory. And the staff were attentive and friendly and accommodating to one’s sketchy Italian. Firm mattress, substantial pillows, hot water: the holy trinity.

✗ The location as of mid-to-late evening. There’s an amphitheater directly behind the hotel, and a concert almost every evening. The music was good - but in a hotel room I’m not looking for a concert, I’m looking for quiet comfort. Plus the internet was out of order the entire time I was there, a BIG negative. And that’s a shame, because outside the unplanned-for concerts, that was the only real drawback.
