✓ The staff and that it had 24hr counter and garage, also location, by car convinced
✗ Rooms out dated and bed and pillows hard.
✓ THIS IS WHAT WAS DISLIKED when we arrived the elevator was not working we were brought up in a service elevator. At the desk we checked in and than we were brought to our room it was nothing like what was advertised. It was at the end of a dirty carpeted hallway. After passing numerous rooms with wooden doors at the very end of the hallway we were brought to a room at the edge of a staircase. The room oddly had a metal door, the clerk at the desk was with us and he opened the door. The room was a nightmare dirty and smelly it was equivalent to an institutional type room, beds if you can call them that were unkempt with towels thrown onto them. The room smelled terrible and literally was scary with its metal door system. I immediately said that this was not what I had booked. Conveniently they had no rooms available except for one a junior suite. Of course when they brought us to the room it’s newly renovated room and what one would expect to be booked into to begin with..considering the fact that we were able to see into rooms on the same floor that were also renovated not junior suites but rooms that a family would be able to book and basically what should have been assigned to us. We had to pay almost $800 euros extra which again was conveniently negotiated in order to now have proper accommodations. We either had to agree to pay to stay in a proper room the junior suite or stay in the “ cell “ type room they brought us to. Or try to spend time now trying to find other accommodations.
✗ Being mislead by both booking.com and hotel alpha who both refuse to take any responsibility for the room that we were given and the extra we were forced to pay in order to have a proper room to stay in. I can’t believe anyone would be willing to stay in the room that we were given. They do not run they establishment with integrity and booking.com is also not willing to take any responsibility in allowing that to happen. I have been trying to get resolution for almost 2 weeks and everyone still just passing me to someone else or the call always dropping or being cut off after spending hours trying to speak with someone. The hotel is trying to say that I willingly and happily paid the extra for the room they put us in after which is completely false. *REPLYING TO YOUR RESPONSE AS NO OPTION TO RESPOND TO THE HOTEL REPLY*Saying that I have not tried to contact you is false I have as has booking.com who called the property and sent emails.You are asking why I wrote this review?because you chose to ignore my concerns, told booking.com you would not issue a refund.It’s very interesting when a review is not in your favour you defend your position as opposed to learning from what the guest has to say and making it right.On your website all rooms look beautiful in photos that is misleading,the reality of “cell”vs.picture is quite different.If your idea of an entry level room is what you assigned you should be embarrassed,it’s shameful.i was shocked at the room.I didn’t realize i booked entry level or “cheapest” room and even if, are you trying to diminish a guest value by your comment and feel superior in giving such a room? The price did not seem “cheap”.I was told you were booked no other room but a junior suite.Now you say you had rooms how odd!we changed rooms we were not staying in the cell,we had to pay extra make a“deal” how funny.Now you act as if you did us a favour?My review is truthful had you assigned a proper room there would not be an issue.
✓ Very clean and modern! Room was cleaned every day and towels replaced. Brilliant location for local bars, restaurants and train station to travel to Sorrento.
✗ The breakfast wasn’t the best, not a lot of options, food often cold, stale (cereal), fruit discoloured. Not a lot of sun beds in the sun for the whole day, pekoe often reserved beds then didn’t use them. Same pool towels had to be used for the whole week.

✗ The train is not very reliable but this is not the hotels fault.
✓ The staff on reception were excellent and couldn’t do enough for you. Rooms were cleaned every day. Good location.
✓ The personnel was very understanding and helpful. The room was great, everything was clean, there was a nice little balcony. I didn’t get to try the breakfast or the restaurant. It’s close to the train station, so perfect to go visit Sorrento and then come back for the night.
