Handy location and a beautiful house near Whitby but away from the crowds - but no wifi.

✓ Beautiful house and furnishings. Big enough for two families easily. Outdoor space. Near Whitby but away from the crazy busy.

✗ Two key things - 1. The wifi didn’t work and I thought the hosts took far too long to respond to messages etc. My husband was assuming he could work a bit while there and without wifi (and no phone signal) this was impossible and so cost us money. 2. No spare bedding (that we could find). We travelled with 3 under 8s and needed replacement bed linen one night and couldn’t find any. This left us washing and tumble drying in the middle of the night and having to put kids in beds to share while we waited for the linen to dry. For a house apparently aimed at families this seems like a very obvious thing to need!

✓ House was roomy and beautifully decorated. Everything we needed and parking straight outside.
