Epic location, charming building but lacked some of the amenities that price point warrants
✓ Epic location with the most wonderful walks into the hills. The hotel was quite dated but well maintained and the room I was in had a charm about it even if it wasn't the most modern. Most of the team were very nice and spa was great to have access to.
✗ The hotel was dated and I have to say the restaurant was poor given the price of the hotel and the products - the service was slow, the menu range as poor and it was expensive. As the only restaurant within walking distance it should have been better. Spa had some great elements - for example the sauna and ice however the pool was over chlorinated and it was uncomfortable to swim in - I also thought only offering guests 2 hours a day for free seemed very unreasonable
