A nice place to stay, but some things could be improved.

✓ Good location in the middle of everything. The owner is an elderly British man, who is very nice and polite. There are a few Asian women, working in the hotel, who are very helpful and sweet. It looks better than in the pictures! The hotel is clean, cozy and nicely decorated. Loved the fact, that the sheets smell really good. Free coffee, tea, water and cookies. Aircondition with no extra charge. A really cozy terrace and a cute bar downstairs, where you can also order some basic meals. The place has a calm and relaxing vibe. I stayed in a couple of other hotels on Cyprus, and the owners were rude or/and ignorant. It was totally different here, where I felt welcomed. Finally a civilized person! I loved staying there and if I'm ever back to Larnaca, won't hesitate to book again.

✗ The hotel is located in a narrow and rather dark street in the evening time. There was quite some noise at night if you sleep with an opened window. If you choose to close the windows and sleep with an air conditioner on, you don't feel comfortable, because the room is very small and the air conditioner blows straight into your face. In the evening I didn't feel safe coming back to the hotel, because there was no one in the reception and this is actually not that easy to open the front door. I came back to the hotel like 10ish (so absolutely not late) and had an unpleasant experience, when a car drove after me with a creepy guy trying to flirt. I got scared and hurried up to come into the hotel. Was stressful, trying to open the stupid front door and knowing there is no one in the reception. When I arrived in the daytime, I had some difficulties getting into the hotel ad well, since no one was in the reception. The door to my room was also tricky to unlock. I would suggest they change the locks and someone should always be present in the reception. Especially in the evening. Or at least they should have a ring bell at the door, so you can make them open it, if needed. You have to ask for a hair dryer. I don't think it's a big deal to invest in a couple of extra hair dryers, to make guests feel more comfortable. The room is tiny and a bed is huge, so you need to be really skinny to be able to move around. The price is a bit high,especially because even though I traveled solo, I had to pay for 2 people. Nevertheless, it needs some improvement, but all in all is a very decent place.

✓ There was a problem with booking of a taxi which meant we did not have transport to the airport. The owner was very helpful and drove us there in his own car! Great bar area.

Exceptional

✓ Harry's Inn is a great wee place to stay. Located a very short walk from the beach and harbour, the pub is busy with a mix of locals and visitors, but the rooms are quiet and well furnished. Bed was comfy, air con very welcome, and towels and toiletries provided. They've gone over and above to make you feel at home with a small communal kitchen area, water fountain and outside seating. Where this place really stands out though is the hospitality, Phil is a fantastic host and nothing is too much trouble for him. Angie is also a great cook, rustling up snacks to keep hungry visitors happy. Phil and all the locals were great to talk to and if I'm ever in Larnaca again I wouldn't hesitate to revisit.

Fabulous

✓ Harry’s Inn is a great British establishment in the heart of old Larnaca, about five minutes walking distance from the beach. The rustic style room was very clean and Phil the host was always very kind and helpful. This is the perfect place for those looking for a good clean homestead that is affordable and smack in the middle of all the attractions. I really liked my stay at Harry’s Inn and would recommend it to everyone looking for a good place to use as a base to explore Larnaca and the rest of Cyprus.
