Situated in Plitvička Jezera, 10 km from Plitvice Lakes National Park - Entrance 1, Lakeside Hotel Plitvice features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

✓ Our dinners were very good! The breakfast buffet was great, it just ended too quickly and I felt that they ran out of food before the 10:00 cut off time
✗ The meals were very good and the staff is wonderful. We had an issue the night we arrived and came in late with a flat tire in the dark. Your front desk staff Anise was absolutely amazing!! He drove to our location to pick us up where our car had the flat, and drove us to the hotel! He went above & beyond I we wanted to let you know how grateful we are!
✓ Location , the way the room looked. Staff at the reception were friendly. This seems like a really nice spot during the summer. Breakfast had a very large choice which was nice.
✗ Restaurant too expensive. Poor wifi. If your room is downstairs you’ll hear footsteps from the room upstairs.
✓ Went here to be close to the lakes – which did work out very well, as the resort is indeed located just 500 m from the (unofficial) entrance 3 (which, unlike rumours have it, opens at the same time as all other gates); the hotel provides links to websites of the park where you can obtain tickets without extra fees. Upon check-in, you will be led to your room – convenient in the maze of buildings, paths, and stairs. Note that the buildings on the compound are built of timber (hence the “Ethno”) – a nice ‘eco’ feature, but it also means they have no elevators… A perk is that the houses are accessible by car; there is free parking, some right at some of the houses. The rooms have a comfortable size, with shelves for all your clothing (wardrobe is a bit small); they are furnished with two armchairs with a couch table, and a desk (which, however, has no chair, and is occupied by the TV) that includes a fridge. The bath sports a bathtub with jacuzzi function. The beds are good; only a single pillow type is provided, but that worked fine for me. It is blissfully silent at night (wake up to the crow of a cock), so all set for a good night’s sleep… The WiFi worked well; a slight downside was the missing central light switch at the beds. Breakfast was good, dinner at the restaurant as well (ate there twice – no need to venture further); no reservations are required. On the grounds, there are lots of opportunities to entertain yourselves (free of charge) – table tennis, minigolf, a “zoo”, …
✗ What you might find a bit confusing as you arrive is that the place is signposting itself as “Ethno Houses” (no sign of “Lakeside Hotel”); no worries, it is all part of the same resort, consisting of various houses. While the roof windows have a proper blind, the façade windows only have curtains that leave light through. The bath is a bit small compared to the room (no space for two people…); the bathtub is not really apt for comfortable showering (nothing to hold the shower head). The bathrooms also have no shaving mirror (expected for a hotel that claims to be 4-star), and mine had defects in the installations – except for the jacuzzi, not exactly a highlight of the accommodation.
✓ Location is great, breakfast is fine
✗ when we come and check in after long drive they told as they are out of water ,it is problem, and water will come for two hours.Water DID NOT come until tomorow morning,we are out of shower all night, can't use bathroom, can't wash the teeth..... I bring 10 my friends and we are so disipointed
✓ Very clean and tidy
✗ The pictures on booking made me think it’s with view to the lakes and nature reserve . And in my opinion you can not call cabins with reception an hotel
✓ Location
✗ Had to pay with cash
✓ excellent location and well-kept facility
✗ unfortunately too high prices in the restaurant, in the room assigned to us there was a beautiful jacuzzi but not working, the staff did not inform us at the time of delivery of the room, only after calling them did they inform us that it did not work, a pity of the shortcomings for one structure like this
✓ Wonderful staff, great location if you want to enter the park from Entrance 3 and avoid some of the crowds. We stayed one night to see the park in the evening and again the following morning. If I were to do it again I would have arrived earlier - the boats and shuttles stop running at 18h in the summer even though the park is open until 20h - and do the upper falls the first day (using the boat) and then enter the following morning from Entrance 1 to do the lower falls. The bus does not come here, so you will need a car and the road is not for the feint of heart.
