Great location, close to the port, shops and restaurants.

Had a problem getting in as no key was in the locked box. Then changed rooms which had no bedding for sofa bed, something was then lost in translation and was the shortly resolved.

This is a very nice new property. Our apartment (a living room with a kitchenette + a bedroom + WC/shower) was elegant and clean. The kitchenette is well-equipped. Among other things, we located the French press that had been advertised. The sofa bed (a very solid bed, wide) was the best bed in the apartment! The property is very close to the harbor and the central street. The entrance of the building was a bit difficult to locate, quite bit off on the side from the street, but in fact the red signs (about "new mail boxes") do lead there.

We had booked an apartment for 3 colleagues, two single beds and a sofa bed. We got a double bed and a sofa bed. The lady who had prepared our room told us they get no information forwarded about the desired bed arrangement. In the end it was not a big deal since the double bed consisted in fact of two beds that could be separated, only the fitted sheet had to be changed. But it is something for the management to keep in mind and organize better.

The kitchen is very spacious, and the induction stove and oven are excellent, making cooking very convenient.

In the hallway, there is a washing machine available for use, but unfortunately, there is no dryer. If four people are staying, the space is a bit limited, and there isn't much room left after unfolding the luggage and sofa bed.

The room was perfect for our family of 4. We needed a clean, comfortable place to stay on the island and this was perfect for that. We didn’t use the kitchen, but beds and bathroom were perfect.

We stayed over on a Saturday night and had the windows open in the basement apartment because it was hot. It was a little loud in the courtyard when the bars closed. But it went away quickly. And it was a Saturday night. So not a huge deal.

The New Post Office is a very nice and chic place. The decorations are very modern. The colors of the interior was pleasing to the eyes. Everything in the unit was very clean. The best thing about the place is the TV, it has Netflix! After a fun day out, it's nice to be back in the accommodation to have some coffee and watch some Netflix. This is probably the only accommodation in my whole Iceland trip that has Netflix (I stayed in more than 7 places in total).

It was hard to find the entrance to The New Post Office at first but you just have to follow the signs. During winter, there's only 2 or 3 eateries open, and some of them are full to the brim. Either go out early to secure a dining location, or buy some meals from Kronan.

Highest quality complete and well-stocked apartment with convenient, free laundry, more heat than you need, center of town location, plenty of towels and towel drying radiator, minute walk to two groceries, the brewery, best restaurants.

Really no complaints nor suggestions for the facility. I hope more of this caliber reach the island. I think Booking.com should have available in their online description engine categories of coffee maker (drip, press, etc) so you can know what to arrive with.

Really clean and compact, slept really well and had everything I needed. Also the host was very quick at answering a call when I needed some assistance. Great location too!

The only thing was trying to find the entrance, I was putting the code into the wrong door for a while until a lady ran over to tell me. You literally need to walk round the back of the building rather than the side door.

Good morning, I am trying to [plan a trip to your country and I have a quick question. How far is your property from the Diamond beach area? Is it an easy day trip? And how har are you from Vik? Thank you for you help. Marni C.

The drive from Diamond Beach to Landeyjarhofn harbor is 3-3.5 hour. The ferry ride is then 40 minutes. The ferry ride from Landeyjarhofn harbor is easy. From Vík it is a 55 Minute drive to Landeyjarhofn harbor.

How do you get to the Island? How far is it from Reykyavik.? Is there a car ferry? if so what times and cost? Can fishing be arranged? Thank you

The only way to get to Westman Islands is with a ferry or an airplane.The ferry is called Herjólfur and it sails between the mainland and Westman Islands all year round.The drive from Reykjavík to Landeyjahöfn is about 2 hours
