✓ Gym, swimming pool, room furnishing, bathroom, security, gate access with cellphone, wifi

✗ Room had a sliding door as entrance, looking onto street with bright sreetlights. The sliding door's drapes dies not close properly, which leads to light flooding the room throughout the night. There was no milk or milk powdwer in room for coffee.

It was ok.

✓ I did not have breakfast. The location of the hotel is safe. The service at the reception is always welcoming and the employees are always happy to assist.

✗ The room did not have a fridge. no wifi connectivity. there was a loud noise through out the night out side my window. no shower caps. I had a request when I made my booking and I did not get a positive feedback :( . Which rooms are budgeted rooms and which ones are not The number which i was given to call for the gate to open did not work. I had to ask for assistance from the security guys outside to open the gate for me.

It was warm and pleasant.

✓ The place is very neat. The room was beautiful and comfortable

Comfortable enough but the supposed upgrade has discarded the charm of the past: Why?

✓ very tidy and clean. Breakfast was nice, but service saw slow if you arrived on the late side. Location is good, staff were friendly and helpful.

✗ Lots of noisy neighbours at the weekend. Not the hotel's fault, admittedly. But the architecture (with echoey tiled corridors) amplified the effect. That is the biggest factor to reduce my enjoyment of the hotel as a place to stay. At a different level, I didn't much like the style of the renovations, which I found quite gaudy and kitsch, e.g. the whole side wall painted like a golf green. The historic character of the beloved old 'Half' has been lost and what has come in its place is comfortable, clean and convenient enough but lacking in any character and charm. No bar anymore.
