We truly appreciated the attention given to even the smallest details. Our stay at Fairmont Cottage in the hills was an absolute delight. From the scenic beauty to the impeccable accommodation and the outstanding hospitality, every aspect was truly remarkable. One of the highlights of our stay was the delectable home-cooked meals provided. If you're seeking a peaceful retreat amidst nature's splendor, this cottage is an ideal choice. ✓ If you're expecting a swanky hotel then it's not meant for you. if you want a 'khandani' sort of cottage, look no further. Lots of books, artefacts, colour and a classy 70s vibe. Fresh and tasty home food, and great cheese omelette buns and parathas to start the day with. There's a large garden too and they loved our pet companion. And it's situated at a place where there's many different day treks to wander off to in the forest. The staff is eager to please which was lacking at a previous place. Quite amazing. A big thank you!

✓ A quaint villa in the midst of beautiful mountains in Mukteshwar...I felt like I was home but the home felt like heaven! Beautifully done up cottage showing the unique taste of the owners and the effort put in to make it look gorgeous and comfortable. The best part of the cottage is the garden on different levels of the mountain slope with view of the snow capped Himalayas. The pergola in the garden is where we practically had every meal. Each room has a different feel and the vibe of the house is comfy and fresh with great views...the staff was always eager to cook delicious meals of our choice at cost price. I would recommend the bbq and fresh chinese soups for sure, to warm up the evenings. I would definitely recommend a stay at this cottage. Upon reaching, you'll find it's absolute value for money, in fact underpriced for groups.

✓ The owner does not confirm bookings unless payment is made and we were not sure of the place. But having been there changed our perception - it was a refreshing experience, perfect location on top of a hill with a garden and an entire hill side as part of the property. Interesting and lively interiors. The two caretakers are great cooks as well, if you are not looking for anything fancy.

Terrific Home away from home

✓ Booked this property in Mukteshwar, a friend who had booked through the owner earlier had referred this property to me. The owner is based in Gurgaon and very helpful and considerate. Property is 1 km from city Center which has few take away restaurants, bakeries, grocery shops and small sit-in restaurants. It is 2km away from some really good cafes, cafes that can give a sweat to known restaurants in Gurgaon. Tourist destinations are 3-4 kms from this Homestay. It's quite an amazing place to get away to with charming views, beautiful decor, a feeling of solitude for sure. This property sits on the edge of a hill and from its garden - you get a full view of Mukhteshwar valley and the mountain ranges. This is a home away from home with delicious home cooked food that is healthy and tasty. My group really appreciated my decision to stay at Fairmont Cottage. it's a must for anyone looking for a hill home lovely experience. 10 on 10. We will be here again in September / October.
