Meric Apartment

Loved the apartment and would absolutely stay here again! Highly recommend.

✓ The apartment is managed by the hotel Bristol and they were very accomodating and helpful. We arrived before check-in time but were able to store our bags before check-in. The way that worked was the hotel taxi picked up the bags and brought them back to the hotel Bristol. We were unaware that this was how it worked so it seemed really sketchy. It’s like you just arrived in this new strange town and a stranger takes off with your bags with basically all of your belongings. Pretty scary. After the van took off with our bags, we were like “did we just make a mistake?”. So we walked to the hotel Bristol and saw our bags safely inside. Had we known this, it would’ve been more comforting. They were very dependable, honest, and reliable. Based on the photos I saw on booking.com I wasn’t sure whether this was a place with shared facilities or not because it was a one bedroom but it was showing pictures of different bedrooms. What you actually get is an apartment with one bedroom. Depending on which apartment you get, it will be one of those. Both seem to be comparable so I don’t think you can go wrong either way. This apartment has pans and dishes so if you want to save some dough, you can make some of your meals. Eating out is crazy expensive here.

✗ I wasn’t aware this was a property managed by the Hotel Bristol so when requesting a ride from the train station I had no idea to look for the Hotel Bristol taxi. I’m not as talented as many of the people in this area and only speak English. The apartment was hot and I could not figure out how to I adjust the temperature settings and what the various thermostats and dials were for. A cheat sheet to help people would be a wise addition to the apartment. The apartment did not provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash or wash cloths (They did have bath towels and face towels). There is a Migros supermarket basically straight down the street from the apartment for your necessities, and in case you forget an AC converter like us.

✓ Great location, very easy to walk to from the train station. Clean, spacious and very well equipped with modern decor. Kitchen facilities superb and everything was very comfortable. Easy self check in and out. Staff at the Hotel Bristol very friendly and helpful, offering luggage transfer and storage services.

✗ Two issues dropped my rating a little: - there is quite a loud fan/machine noise right underneath the bedroom which could be annoying for sleeping. - the TV advertises casting capabilities from your device, but we couldn't get it to work. Even plugging in our own Chromecast, the TV just wasn't visible from our androids or iPhones. It was like the TV itself couldn't connect to the wifi. The staff member at the Hotel Bristol said she'd contact IT, and was very nice about it, but unfortunately I never heard back from them.

✓ Ideal apartments considering the cost. The apartment has everything you need, even white coats, dishes for cooking fondue, glasses, etc. Very good location. The apartment is very warm. There is a big nice balcony, if you want to sit on the balcony with your coffee, you can also admire the beautiful view (if you need a balcony for a photo shoot then it won't work). Very good service and they respond quickly to all requests❤️

✓ Great Spacious apartment: Pollux is the name. Between 8am and 5pm they provide a pick up service from Zermatt train station and bring you to the apartment. Hugo even went above that. We mention that we want to Go to Gornergrad - was noonish, and he just took our Luggage and placed it in the apparent wow.!!!! later picked us up again at the Gornergrad Bahn which is across the Train Station. Coop is also there, pick up lunch and drinks because on the Mountain it is VERY expensive. Do not miss the Museum on top. HAS laundry on premise. 2 washers and one dryer. not expensive. VERY roomy apartment. Has toilettes and shower plus Separate Toilet.

✓ it is convenient to stay here. Subway is easily assessible.

✗ there is room for improvement in terms of hygiene. Housekeeping staff did not clean/change the bedsheets after previous guest stay. Body hair clearly seen on the bed.
