✓ Breakfast
✗ We were moved from Villa Scaramellino to Domo20 which is farther away from the city center and train station
✓ location, cosy rooms
✗ 1. This is are B&B serviced rooms. There was NO Breakfast provided, instead , we were asked to drive up hill to the " mother hotel " DOMO 20 " and be served there this is of course , unacceptable. The operator could have arranged with near by restaurants an easy way for the guests instead of hassling them up hill... 2. Cleaning not to perfection, in fact , there was no cleaning at the first day and I had to alarm the system to send a cleaner.
✓ Full disclosure, we didn't stay at the Villa Scaramellino because the owners offered an upgrade to its sister hotel - Domo 20, which we accepted. Domo 20 is a lovely hotel, the staff are without fail helpful, friendly, and speak excellent English. The breakfast is lovely - plentiful and varied, and the view from the rooftop cocktail bar is sensational. Domo 20 is just a 5-10 minute walk into Vico Equense's town centre.
✗ Would have been lovely to have a kettle in the room - we really missed having a cup of tea whenever we wanted. Although the walk into town is short, the walk back feels a lot longer because it is a heck of a hill. My calves still ache!
✓ The location is very central. The staff is very pro active to make you feel very welcome and to help you in everything you need. The breakfast is very fresh and delicious.
✓ The room was beautiful and spacious. The bed was very comfortable, the AC worked well and silent. It is located in the very center of Vico Equense with all the necessities close by. The staff was absolutely lovely, very responsive via WhatsApp and when there was a problem with water they have sent a plumber immediately.
✗ Clean but not spotless (streaks on the shower walls and metal elements, dust on remotes and in nooks and crannies, stains on the couch). The room was not very soundproof. The windows were doing a good job keeping the street noise outside, but the door did not. You could hear your neighbors conversations and it also got very noisy very early due to the bakery on the ground floor. The room should come with a pair of earplugs.
