✓ Amazing hosts, it was lovely to sit underneath the olive tree and unwind after a busy day of exploring and great sunset views.
✗ Everything was great.
✓ Its quiet and scenic place, among the flowers and olive tree. After sightseeing i enjoyed terrace sunbath with coffee and reading till sunset. In march, april you can use heating in the room; day can be hot, night very cold. Breakfast was big and tasteful (see photo). Cats do some company. Bathroom is big. Arabic beds and comfy. Tea, coffee, wifi in the room. Place is on the hill, fresh air, no traffic congestion, peaceful. Spent 3 nights, one just for Jerash arheological park, second Ajlun fortress and one for Jerash town. Private Taxi from local microbus station to hostel was 2.5 JD. Last day owner drove me to the station free.
✗ I missed TV or radio. I read some have problems with wall, i am 180 cm but didn't hit the wall.
✓ The location, the staff, the breakfast.
✓ Beautiful view, nice garden, good breakfast
✗ No bed, just a low sofa, no sheets, no hot water, inefficient heating
✓ there was a nice view, a good breeze, it was in a quiet place, the lady working there was very sweet, there was a nice vibe, the breakfast was nice. the hosts were accommodating and allowed a last minute change from one to two guests. the host was very helpful organizing a taxi for us to leave the property and was gracious
✗ the “cottage” was a tiny room, the photos on booking must have been taken from a very wide angle lens, the ceiling was very low as well so it was a bit like a cave. there were no beds, just hard mattresses on the floor. it was fine if you were expecting camping or a Spartan retreat experience. the property was also isolated so it was hard to get a taxi to the town. I asked to change the booking at the last minute from one to two guests. at first the hosts agreed and said no problem, , then twenty minutes later sent a new message apologizing saying they can’t accommodate last minute changes. in the end they agreed on the condition that we pay double for the extra preparation involved. this seemed ok for us, but when we arrived I saw that they hadn’t actually made the beds, or even taken out the trash in the bathroom, so I wasn’t sure what extra preparation was needed. the price on booking for an extra guest the following night would only be 3 jd plus tax, not the 15 they charged. the beds were hard mattresses on the floor which were not long enough for my body (I am only 5ft 3, not tall.
✓ Our hoasts were very friendly and hospitable. We didn’t stay in the lodge but in their home. It was very cold and one of us has health problems su we were invited to stay in their house. The family was so kind and helpfull. We really appreciated everything they did for us. The home made breakfast was really great.
✗ The ceiling of the lodge is very low. A person of 1.85 cm can not stand up straight. If you need to go to the bathroom, you have to step outside.
