Set in Salzburg, 800 metres from Salzburg Central Station, The Keep Eco Rooms offers accommodation with a shared lounge, private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

✓ Very nice place
✗ Communal toilets a bit lacking
✓ A great location between the station and the old town. If you could manage the arcane texts and codes to get in (mine didn't work), then it was a good base to explore the lovely city.
✗ I hated the code system since I was locked out on arrival and no staff are present. Luckily other guests let me in! The room was quirky with recycled items but the toilet was far away and the only breakfast offered is vegan. I won't be staying there again.
✓ If you need a clean room, it will reach your expectations. Bathrooms are shared and could be designed cleverly so everywhere wouldn't wet.
✗ There is jo reception.
✓ The breakfast was great, a lot of vegan options and even some gluten free cake! The location is also great, very close to the Salzach and you can easily walk to the city centre. The room was relatively quiet and I liked the whole sustainability concept of the hostel!
✗ There was no heads up that the shower rooms would also be shared between all genders and you could not lock the separate showers, they were only separated by shower curtains. This is something that should be made transparent on the website before you are booking.
✓ Cute little room with what you need, pretty comfortable and relatively quiet
✗ The single toilet/ bathroom smelt a little funky and was a bit mouldy due to there being no window
✓ I really liked the sustainability factor, you could see that they live it and don't pretend like many big hotel chains. The location is very convenient, everything you need is close by including public transport. Only 10 min walk from the main train station. The checkin and checkout process was digital and super easy. The bed was comfy.
✗ Unfortunately because the train tracks are next to the hostel, you can hear every single train running by, when you have your window open. I can only sleep with open windows for fresh air so I had a pretty rough night. For that I wasn't able to rate 10, only 9. Then there's a small thing I'd like to recommend. It would have been nice to have a hook for the towel next to the shower and a shower tray inside the shower. (Of course it can be 2nd hand ;))
✓ Good location for public transport, the river and Mirabell gardens, a nice kitchen, good restaurant, comfortable beds (each with own light, power and on the top bunk, a storage box.)Loved having a code for the door instead of a key or card. No check in and checkout but missed having a reception. Clearly labelled recycling bins in the kitchen. Easily able to leave luggage after check out.
✗ It was a bit too noisy to have the windows open, so we were a bit hot. We didn’t have to queue or wait for bathrooms during our 3 night stay but I expect that could happen. There was one toilet/shower in our corridor (4 rooms) and another toilet and 3 showers on the half landing below. Having sinks in the room really helped
✓ Great location, can walk everywhere in the city without any problems. Clean and spacious room. Good restaurant downstairs.
✗ Shared facilities not always clean.
We do not have a bike storage. We recommend the bike boxes at bike and ride Schallmoos. Around 8 walking minutes from the hostel.
