Awesome experience

✓ Location: in the forest, at small distance frome the village but near the train station. Neighborhood is very calm. The Access to the hôtel IS an aventure, (especially with big luggage it can be very physical) , but the walk IS very nice. The hotel is clean, well decorated, the staff IS helpful,kind and vey reactive. Traditional style room, it has all what it takes for a good stay, the private bath IS very nice. It Can be tight with large multiple luggage. The star of the stay IS dinner: Classy, very tasty, authentic. The breakfast (japanese style) IS very good.

✓ The environment is quite enough to have a rest. The hotel provides variety of food and all are delicious!

Ryokan which was slightly disappointing in many aspects.

✓ The food was delicious and generous . The private onsen was nice. You could access the station, albeit via steep steps and a bus.

✗ The rooms were very badly designed , awkward to get around. the private onsen, though fun, made the room rather claustrophobic. The only public space was the lobby. You were chased out of the dining room immediately the meal was finished.

✗ The bedrooms are badly designed with nowhere to put anything. The private outdoor onsens make the room dark and a bit claustrophobic and are minimally outdoor. There’s no real view from anywhere in the property, no communal space, no outdoor area.
