✓ Super location in the center of Maspalomas, not so far to the beach, good standard, big rooms with many windows and balcony. Swimming pool. Good price.

A lovely hotel in a convenient location!!

✓ The property is conveniently situated next to the yumbo so you get to hear echoes of the nightlife! The layout is great with the concierge greeting you immediately on entry, offering a glimpse of the pool, jacuzzi and lounge area directly ahead of you and left of the reception desk that offers various leaflets of the different activities. The room I was in contained a separate lounge area at the front of the apart-hotel room, then a decent sized bathroom with a rain shower and separate shower head! All towels are kept in the bathroom and you get cute shampoo and shower gel bottles which they replenish throughout your stay as and when you request for your room to be cleaned using the door tags they supply. The bedroom is centrally located (which I may have fallen through from time to time) with two twin beds and a single pillar and cushion on each bed. The tv and many different channels offers variety with an international channel set, including radio. The balcony perfectly overlooked the pool with a cute set of chairs and table. There’s an open wardrobe with hangers and a safe available to you in the bedroom with desk like storage space beneath. Unfortunately there isn’t any chest of drawers so you might need to request more hangers or fold and place any extra clothes in the wardrobe area.

✗ I didn’t like that there wasn’t a chest of drawers and the air conditioning unit requiring a pipe in a bucket that bled the excess water often causing the balcony to flood if you didn’t keep an eye on the water level in the bucket. It’s something that the housekeeping team often deal with but obviously it’s alarming to see your balcony about to flood so you might want to independently deal with it and dispose of the water in the toilet which I was encouraged to do by the receptionist if I didn’t wish to leave it to housekeeping. There was also the odd dead cockroach left to decay outside the room until eventually removed by the staff. The balcony could also do with some netting for safety reasons in this day and age.

✓ Luis and the other night receptionists were super helpful and kind. I believe most of the staff of the hotel is friendly and belongs to the xollective which the hotel is marketed for, which is very nice and considerate. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The nice terrace facing the swiming pool is nice and the lock system to the room is easy and works fine. Everything very clean. The red big closet in the room has a big box on the bottom for you to put more private stuff inside and then something heavy above the red box. Also there is a vault lock box inside with a coded numerical locker (small). I will indeed like to return to Ritual, the location was very convenient and everyrhing was clean and tidy, with no extra stuff ( alcohol, chocolate, wine ) lying around ready to be used and charged to your account like what is actually happening in the direct competitors of this niche customer marketed hotel.

✗ The Fridge is poor and does not have enough power even to cool a beer to my taste. I could not find the controls to make it cooler, these are not visible from the fron but it might actually have something in the back of the fridge. The internet connection is intermittent and unstable: your computer or phone dont get disconnected, but at least in the room I booked (309) there will be lag and freezes, which is not good if you visit like me, having to work remotely and do videoconferences with your team and boss. The airconditioner was not clean, and after few hours of using the very powerful cold i started to feel sick and sneeze, so i needed to open windows and let the aircon off. They should be cleaning the air con filtwrs more often. The aircon hot air end leads to the terrace so i avoided turning it on when i was in the terrace. Thia accom does not have kitchen facility which contributes to make it cleaner, which i like. In the swimming pool people leaves the towel as "booking" the free seats, and leaves, so when a new host comes he might not find a free pool lounger to rest. The floor of the shower could have a better looking aspect, as it was solely made by concrete and i didnt like the aspect of it. The remote controller of the tv was missing the batteries, probably removed by the last greedy customer. The batteries were provided on the spot at the reception together with a kind smile and an apology. Overall very good but some little things could be improved.
