Holiday Inn Express Xi'an Bell Tower, an IHG Hotel

Overall, the location is excellent and the staff are nice. Only downfall is room size.

✓ BREAKFAST WAS FABULOUS, MANY CHOICES, EVERYDAY WITH DIFFERENT MENU. FREE BUFFET WITH CUSTOMISED NOODLE BY YOURS WISE.

✗ THE DIY LAUNDRY SERVICE. SOME PEOPLE JUST THROW OUT YOUR CLOTHES BEFORE IT GETS DRY EVEN I JUST CAME BACK IN 2 MINS LATE. THAT FELLOW SOMEMORE SOUNDED WITH TERRIBLE MANNER.

Great location and clean room

✓ Fantastic location, 5min walk away from the Bell Tower. Room and bathroom were spacious and very clean. Had very comfortable 2 nights here. The breakfast (mainly Chinese style) was fantastic! Definitely recommended!

Good rooms, breakfast, and housekeeping but very unprofessional and unhelpful reception staff

✓ Good location, 100 meters from the Bell tower and 200 meters or so from the Drum tower and Muslim quarter, but still away from the hustle bustle of the traffic and crowds. Have lots of eateries and shops nearby. Hotel lobby has a private travel agency booth and I highly recommend them for the Terracotta tour @ 350 yuan per person with excellent service and trained English speaking guide, a big shout out to Nana and Lucas. Hotel lobby provides seating area and computer terminals for internet services. Breakfast is a good mix of Chinese and western dishes with good coffee machine. Housekeeping service is very efficient and regular. Room is pretty clean, has TRESemme toiletries and serviced everyday. Two bottles of drinking water in the room and unlimited water bottles for guests in the lobby.

✗ The reception staff is very unprofessional with no English language competency and complete lack of service attitude. They could probably get the robots do a better job there. Each time I requested for help or assistance and I was greeted with a curt no with no expression of help or any kind of explanation. The room is pretty small and does not have a refrigerator. I was flatly refused for a late check out without any explanation. Another area of improvement is the internet service as its unstable and also very slow and many times stops working abruptly so cannot rely on it and need your own data plan. Overall good experience in the city but as far as a hotel, its a good building and infrastructure but manned by unprofessional staff at the reception. Would love to return but now I know that the neighbouring hotels offer better options.
