✓ Great location and amazing people. Clean.

✗ The rooftop bar was closed. It was also freezing and the desk had really limited hours to go and get another blanket. I think I put my coat on one night to fall asleep.

✓ Everything was nice. The self check in is easy. Just that I had a problem because they forgot to send me the code and I had to wait outside until they had my call. Since it was Sunday night it took a long time for them to answer the phone but after that they sent me the code right away. Everything in nice and clean and it feels cozy. I really recommend this place. The staff should double check they send all the information if the guest is going to make self check in, but I understand that can happen to everyone.

For just 7 hrs it was perfect & price was much better than a regular hotel near the cruise ship port

✓ The kitchen was right across the hall from the room with 4 beds (i.e. 2 bunks) and although I arrived past 1:00a.m. there were people in the kitchen talking loudly, so I told them we were trying to sleep. Eventually I slept and I was the last to leave the room. I had to buy my own breakfast at a cafe opposite the hostel. The gal in the office kindly ordered an Uber for me as I don;t have an App. I gave her a hot coffee as thanks. I really liked the quaintness of the hostel but I am an older lady and feel it is more suited for the younger travellers.

✗ All the back & forth emails prior to my very late arrival since the hostel required photo of Driver's License, etc. They had to send me an instructional video with code to access the front door & my room.

Overall good

✓ Overall is great! It is a great location, hostel is very clean. Lots of place where to eat right there.

✗ They just seemed confused about my check-in date. I was requested a review on Feb 17th without staying first (my staying date was Feb 18th-19) and I did received someone else receipt after check-out. I noticed a bit disorganized in that sense.

Fabulous

✓ A hostel experience is greatly impacted by the other guests which can be hit or miss. This go around, I stayed in the smaller room and some evenings, there were guests open to socializing while others it was not. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is real close to a 24 hour supermarket and a central location in San Juan.

✗ Really the only issue was having an outlet for each person close to your bed. If you were on a top bunk, you were out of luck and had to leave your phone down below. Sometimes there was not enough outlets for everyone in the dorm room.

one of the best hostels in SJ, i’ve been here over a week and will def stay again!

✓ the staff are absolutely amazing. the kitchen is expansive and well-stocked for cooking. the bed is quite comfortable! there are several lovely common areas to chill, work, read, etc. the rooftop is awesome!

✗ the shower in the 16-bed dorm only has two settings-burn your skin off hot or cold. lol … the other showers don’t get hot at all. but it’s not a big deal. the 16-bed room can be a little loud on the weekend cuz it’s right next to the street, but earplugs usually work well enough to sleep. the other rooms are much quieter though.

It was very nice to stay there for a couple of days
