This place was the highlight of my one month stay in Rio. It was an unexpected diamond. I booked the room based off the price they had listed. I didn't expect much, but I got there, I was blown away. The room was great and the veiw was amazing. They have an AMAZING breakfast and serve food to order all day.

My toilet had an issue where it wouldn't;t completely fill after my first time flushing it. I left the room and when I returned a few hours later it was still filling. I jiggled the handle and that seemed to fix the problem. I notified the staff of what happened. The gentleman responded quickly. The walls are very thin, but there was no action that I know of during my time there.

Enjoyed how close it was to one of the beaches , it had a great view and the price was decent . I feel like the rooms could be a little more detailed , and cheaper . I looked around surrounded hotels and they were all updated .

It was a bit on a hill side which helped with an amazing view but it was also a struggle walking back from beach

The staff was outstanding, they made us feel at home. We also loved the fact that nobody stayed on the property so we had the pool for us!

The smell in our room was pretty bad. We had to leave doors open for a couple of days. It was good that we were not at the pool level so we didn't have any noise from other guests. The closest beach is crowded and it's hard to go on foot.

Hotel's Response

You say there was no one at the property, but we were actually full on the dates you stayed. What happens is that our architecture was directed to give that feeling to enjoy peace and tranquility still full. In the pool there are very few who stay during the day since everyone prefers to go and enjoy the paradisiacal beaches that Búzios offers. After staying for 9 nights, the question that arises is: Why didn't you tell us anything about the alleged "smell" in the room? We went now to check this and there is no smell at all. Cleaning is our obsession! Regarding the full beach, which is synonymous with the fact that it is the best beach closest to the center, but you are not obliged to go to it, it has 24 different beaches in Búzios. From the pousada to the center it is only 1.2 km, and the walk is beautiful and safe. You can also go by Uber or Taxi or rent a Buggy. The Pool level rooms are the LUXURY category (the most expensive) and you chose the STANDARD category (the cheapest). There is no "commotion" in those rooms, the guests who choose us are very polite and discreet and we do not understand your comment regarding those 2 pool level rooms.
