The location, breakfast, cleanliness level

It seems everywhere we stayed in Iceland that hotels use those heavy, warm, comforters but they're just too hot for September. We had to open the windows and let the room cool down so we didn't sweat so much. Could you have another blanket in the closet that we could use as a back up to replace the heavy comforter?

Easy parking, nice breakfast. Great staff. Lovely view.

The room & bathroom were clean but very small. A place in the bathroom for toiletries would have been helpful. Also a shelf in the shower.

Big variety at the wonderful brekfast buffet. Location very good at the city center. Few minutes walk to the Herjólfur ferry.

Nice room in a good-sized hotel in Heimaey. The location is close to the port with excellent access to the ferry port, restaurants and sights. The staff were helpful and the facilities included jacuzzi and sauna access. Breakfast was good with the usual hot and cold items. Would strongly recommend.

I loved that they had a great free buffet for breakfast with lots of quality fruit, and a wide selection of meat. cheese, bread, eggs, cereal etc. they also let me store my bag before and after my booking. They had a washing machine for guest use, and called me a cab hours after I checked out. Also plenty of towels and amenities, which are hard to come by in Iceland.

There was some banging on my roof, I think something may be loose up there, it was raining. it didn’t stop me from sleeping, I actually had my best night sleep while there.

Does the bus and ferry run on Sept 7th 2023 ? or is this not summer season ?

We do have shower in all bathrooms in the hotel.

You can leave your car next to the harbor Landeyjahöfn.

Are there rooms with a bathtub?

No we do have shower in all rooms :) We do have hottub in the spa:)

What is the cheapest way to get there from Reykjavik

You take the ferry Herjolfur from the harbor Landeyjahöfn. The ferry sails 7 times over the summer period. To get to Landeyjahöfn from Reykjavík you take a bus (Strætó) from Mjódd. The bus goes two times every day. https://straeto.is/en/
