Hôtel des Templiers

Will recommend and will stay there again.

✓ Location, hotel staff were very helpful. The receptionists were extremely helpful and pleasant and could speak English.

✗ Service at the restaurant.

This was our second stay here and the overall experience is excellent.

✓ Breakfast was good Whilst the location is amazingly close to everything, our bedrooms were immediately above the bar which was lively and noisy until 2.30am. And the doors are single glazed! It wasn’t easy to sleep.

✗ Thin towels. An antiquated toilet cistern which included a horribly noisy pump!

✓ Central location. If you step out onto the very narrow balcony there is a view of the bay which is lovely.

✗ It has a run down look and feel about it. There are clearly mould issues with peeling paint and mould visible on the bedroom walls. Pillows had stains. Grimy - room needed a good clean. Back stairs were very dusty and dirty. Noisy till about 1am.

✗ Room is a bit tired, especially the bathroom. But it was clean.

✓ Central location. Very easy to locate the hotel Reception was very understanding when we phoned through due to train delay and thought we may not make the reception deadline. Loved the atmosphere and history of this hotel. And the hotel bar / restaurant was fantastic. Our best hotel stay in 5 weeks.

Great location - quirky place.

✓ Location was excellent, with a view of the harbor and castle. Loved all the artwork in the halls. The beds were very comfy.

✗ It was a little tired, but consistent with a 2 star hotel. Pretty noisy at night (til 2am) with the cafes right below the window. Would have liked a hairdryer in the room.
