✓ The pool was heated. When Antigua was hit by a blackout, the hotel had a backup generator.

✗ Online prices were high for this location, although locals apparently obtained lower prices, as did I when I extended my stay at the desk. And a fridge in the room costs $10/day!

Great place that I would come back to with family and friends for the location and heated pool.

✓ Great place, wish we had more time. The heated pool with great scenery was amazing.

✗ Not so isolated from the center of Antigua, but the walk back at night was a bit lonely. would recommend walking with others or taking a cab.

✓ Beatiful campus. Staff is wonderful. Breakfats was ok.

The hotel is beautiful and very comfortable.

✓ The facilities and room were exceptional! The pools were great and the breakfasts were very tasty. All the staff were very helpful and kind and very accommodating to my needs. The cleanliness of this hotel was beyond my expectations. The gym and sauna also need updating.

✗ What I didn't like was the loud music blasting from speakers in the pool area. I originally got a room facing the pool but I immediately asked them to move me to a quieter room facing the back of the property to get rid of all the noise. I was going to stay here for a whole week and did not need to be listening to thumping base during my stay while trying to relax. NOTE TO HOTEL - the loud music in the pool is not the vibe for this hotel. I believe this hotel to be more a sophisticated vive and the loud music is better suited for Las Vegas or Ibiza.....This is not it....please consider this critique.

✓ pleasant, spacious quiet

✗ amenities such a as pool, jacuzzi close very early. wanted to use the jacuzzi but it was closed so second choice was a hot bath; except the bathtub was not clean. it had a black ring around the drain as if it hadn’t been scrubbed in a while. the next night, we made it a point to get back early enough to be able to use the jacuzzi and the jacuzzi left a lot to be desired. it is very old. i stepped in and felt like the notion was going to give and my foot would go right through. it was also very dirty and the jets did not work. only the bubbles worked and the water was tepid.

✓ Excellent value! You get to use all the facilities including a gym, sauna, jacuzzi, and three pools. On top of everything you get a buffet breakfast.

✗ The shower was quite awkward. I'm 6 foot 1 and the shower head probably reached shoulder height. Also the pillows are a little weird. They are the ones that fill with air.

Great hotel, terrible accountability system

✓ Beautiful hotel, with what could be amazing amenities. Covid has made use of these amenities limited however. The property is beautiful and amazing to walk through. A nice restaurant as well.

✗ The system for getting pool towels or parking is a joke. For instance, you need to continually keep a paper ticket to get towels and to return them. The front staff is not on the same page as other staff. Other hotels let their guests take towels and return them without tickets or a hassle. Same goes for the parking on site. A better system could be in place for that as well.
