✓ The look of building is nice. The services are much better. The hotel staffs are wonderful.
✗ Public area is very limited. So refitting would make the room more comfortable. Also to keep bedding dry and clean would help sweet dreams.
✓ Our stay at Hotel Portland in Pokhara, Nepal, was a delightful experience. The standout feature of this hotel was undoubtedly its exceptional staff. Babika, Indria, and Sushanth went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Their professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to assist with excursion bookings and even rescue us when we missed the bus were truly commendable. Their overwhelming positivity and helpfulness added a special touch to our visit. The hotel's accommodations were equally impressive. The air-conditioned rooms provided a comfortable retreat, and the plush beds ensured a good night's sleep. One of the highlights of our stay was the breathtaking view from our rooms and the roof deck, which encompassed the serene Peace Pagoda and majestic mountains. The breakfast buffet offered a diverse selection of delicious dishes, catering to both continental and local tastes, satisfying our culinary desires.
✗ Despite the many positives, there were a couple of drawbacks to our stay at Hotel Portland. The instant coffee served at the hotel left much to be desired, which was a bit disappointing for coffee enthusiasts like us. Fortunately, we found a solution at the gym across the street, which offered better coffee options. Additionally, an air-conditioned dining area would have significantly improved the dining experience, especially during warmer weather. The most notable drawback during our stay was the noise from a nearby nightclub. The music continued playing until the early hours of the morning, which disrupted our sleep and was a source of frustration. Not the hotels fault, but certainly a drawback if you are looking for a more peaceful sleep or are a light sleeper.
✓ Staff and the location
✗ It could be little more clean
✓ Location near the market and bar, staff was kind, this is my second time staying here and met a beautifull lady in the receptionist, her name is Indira, she's so kind and give us a permission to taking a photo with her. Breakfast was good but has a limited choice, view was good if you have a room facing the mountain
✗ The room size not so big and didnt soundproof so we can hear music from the bar nearby, and our hairdryer didnt working
✓ it is main city center
✗ air condition is not work properly hotel should install one ceiling fan or wall fan in all the rooms
✓ Break fast was good.
✗ toilet kits could be added
✓ The staff were extremely helpful and caring. They make you feel at home and very knowledgeable regarding activities in pokhara. They aided to our every need. Special mention to Anusha Chetri, Indira and Bibika. Much deserved promotions and increase in salary.
✗ The hotel facilities such as the AC, bathroom, and TVs have multiple issues. The staff were very helpful in fixing all the issues. A note to the owner to kindly replace the faulty and old machinery.
