A nice hotel offering comfortable accommodation at an affordable price in a great location.
✓ The location of the hotel is very good but a word of warning: as you might expect from such a central location, it can be quite noisy at night. On the positive side, it's situated very close to the Plaza de Espana and you can walk to all the main sites in Madrid including the Museo del Prado and the Palacio Real. The rooms were a reasonable size and the beds were comfortable, but I will ensure that if I stay here again I chose a room that doesn't face inwards - the ones that have a balcony and more natural light are much nicer. One of the things that I most enjoyed was the breakfast, which offered a good range of choices including hot food and a range of pastries.
✗ The only thing I didn't like was that the second room I stayed in faced inwards towards the other side of the building and consequently there was very little natural light. However, the first room I stayed in had a balcony overlooking Gran Via, which was really great.

✗ An iron and ironing board as well as a box of tissue s should be a minimum requirement for hotels… but not this one!
