✓ Friendly and welcoming

✓ Overall, a very positive experience. The meals were excellent. The view across the valley from my room was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable.
✗ Whilst I understand the difficulty for the hotel, the car parking was a particularly irritation. Having to park right at the top of the hill was annoying, especially having to walk up every day after a full breakfast to put a day pass on the car. Even more annoying when having forgotten to do it on one day having to walk back up from the station and then walk up Main Street. A pass that last for the entire stay would be so much more convenient.
✓ Fabulous staff, esp Trudy & Nikky. Food was excellent & the full breakfast lasted till the evening. Lively and lovely atmosphere and staff very friendly and attentive
✗ Not having enough time after 11pm for drinks lol
✓ Very efficient and friendly staff. Superb breakfast. and food in general. Also great Timothy Taylor's real ale and free pint on arrival! Very good central location, room very clean and tidy and serviced again during my two night stay.
✗ Room a little small, especially the en-suite and bed a little uncomfortable ( but then I am very tall and used to a kingsize normally) Quite noisy at times with banging doors due a central corridor access to rooms. Not complaining though as I did get a very good deal with this visit and The Fleece's price structure for accommodation is always reasonable and competitive.
✓ The squeaky clean shower and the heating - it was nice and warm!
✗ It’s difficult to park in the village as, I’ve learnt since, everywhere else in Yorkshire!
✓ Food was delicious and great value for money. Staff were warm and friendly
✗ The fact that there is no parking
✓ Excellent breakfast. Modernised bathroom was superb.
✗ Hotels are quick to address parking requirements for their guests. Alas the traveller using public transport is forever troubled with the issue of where to store luggage before Check in time or after Check out time. This is a major issue often overlooked by hosts. In this instance the hospitality at The Fleece hotel expired after the bill had been paid. I was obliged to spend the rest of the day carrying my luggage on buses and trains before I was ready to head home.
✓ I was late getting to the inn and was phoned by them to ask if I wanted a table kept for dinner. I really appreciated that they considered my needs.
We are dog friendly through the public areas.
All of our rooms are ensuite, the king size room has a bath with a shower over it. The twin has the same, all singles have showers, one of the doubles is the same & the other has a large walk in shower

Hi, we have a full vegan menu available we have a selection of vegan items for breakfast too
The car park is approximately a ten minute walk up the hill from the Fleece Inn, or a 2 minute drive. We suggest that guests drive to the pub first to drop off luggage & receive directions & parking passes. Postcode & directions are on the passes
there is limited parking in carparks away from the Main Street, it is resident parking only on the street we are located on.
We are not able to provide contact information publicly Please contact the property if we can assist with further information Thankyou
usually at this time of year yes, obviously this is weather dependent, but we also have background heating on to make sure the pub is warm The Fleece Inn
Hi, We don't really have any storage space in the bar area that this can be left, there is a small storage area at the rear of the pub but it is outside & not the best access.
