✓ Location

✗ Was under construction and hence the stay was a bit uncomfortable. Initially gave a dirty room but on complaint immediately moved to the newly constructed wing. Though the staff made all possible efforts to make it comfortable.

Fair but not the best choice to explore Varanasi

✓ The bedroom was big, the bed comfortable and all very clean. The hotel organised private drivers for me. And dinner was delicious

✗ The location was miles away from any point if interest. The hotel offers “city tours” which are not, there is no plan set or suggestions, it is just a driver for a set amount of hours.

Don’t expect too much then it’s okay value for money

✓ Nice place, nice pool, nice restaurant, very friendly staff, okay beds

✗ Bit old, there were a lot of construction noises, the shower was cold, electricity went off a lot of times, wifi didn’t work. Also, the staff did not really respect privacy, they called many times the room early in the morning to ask if we needed cleaning.

Oldwordly with a great swimming pool

✓ Nice old worldly hotel; comfortable but the interior decor is tired and dated; great swimming pool; a lot of staff on site

✗ Construction work ongoing at the hotel (early August 2023) with loud power drills during the day and heaps of sand in a couple of locations around the hotel; biggest gripe was that when we asked to borrow (or hire) an umbrella during the pouring rain the staff seemed perplexed and said there were none available - having umbrellas on standby for guests is something that many other 3-4 star hotels offer in the rest of Asia especially during rainy season; service charge added on to all drinks and food;

Except construction renovation every thing value for money .

✓ Property is good but renovation was going on so lots of noise , difficult to stay during day time in that floor . Manager was very cooperative and gave a room for 3 hrs rest .

✗ Hotel should not book the room near construction renovation area .

✓ A colonial era building beautifully converted into a lavish hotel. beautiful paintings and artifacts adorning the walls of the hotel. spacious rooms though a bit overused over time, an excellent restaurant with lot of options. A big good garden with beautiful flowers.

Good for budget travel - rooms not soundproof

✓ Nice look with the small "park" inside the hotel complex

✗ Rooms and especially windows not soundproof WiFi not working reliably WiFi issue not resolved even after contacting two staff
