Comfortable stay in a very nice town.
✓ Position in the town, rooms were very nice overlooking the river. One room the shower head was broken and the iPad in the room did not work, [reception informed]. Check in was very easy and friendly.
✗ There was no restaurant service because our stay was on Monday, which is poor for a hotel of this level.

Hotel: Nice place / Staff: it depends
✓ The place is lovely, situated right next to the river with the view and the calming noise of water. The rooms are comfortable and the wifi works very well. Good breakfast available for long hours which is comfortable.
✗ Some members of the staff were nice but some others were not very competent and sadly not very professionals. The checkout has been surprisingly unpleasant and not to the standard you could basically expect.

Great location for stay by the river
✓ Very helpful team on reception who helped us with evening meal bookings which was really appreciated. Massive bed in lovely corner room with river views. Enjoyed the pool table albeit an interesting slope! Big breakfast selection and once guests decided to draw back curtains, a room with a view. Handy to have car park and free though tight spaces. Location is fab, a short stroll away from the small town. Nice old photos and paintings of hotel over the decades adorn walls. Fresh fruit salad in room on arrival was a welcome surprise.
✗ Unusual to require a swimming cap to use small pool, but do recall reading this in advance so at least need is communicated.
