Nice hotel in a beautiful place with clean rooms but hospitality still needs some work

✗ When we used the key we received on arrival, the room turned out to be someone else's already. When we called the reception, and the hostess didn't really know what to do (she doesn't really speak English and our German isn't good), and blamed her staff. Because she seemed so stressed to find a room we offered to go out and eat dinner first so she could sort out her rooms. When we returned to the hotel there was a key waiting for us, and it turned out we got a free room upgrade! We were really happy with this as this room also included a kitchen. The bed was a bit disappointing as it felt well and often slept on, the mattress seemed to slope to the sides, making you feel like you would fall out, but otherwise the room was good. The breakfast was a bit of a let down for us after reading the recommendations here. Much only seemed to be filled once with a small amount (like pastries), so if you woke up a bit later most was gone. Also there was not as much choice as we expected. But the quality of everything provided was good, just not the excellent breakfast we were expecting. When we arrived for breakfast on our last day (early as we had a long drive ahead of us) we were asked by the hostess to pay for our stay first as she was in a hurry. I was surprised as I had seen booking.com had already deducted from my credit card. When I showed the hostess my booking.com payment confirmation, she showed me that for it still seemed to be open to pay. However as I mentioned, my German isn't that good, so I could not make much sense of the page. She seemed really annoyed and said we should contact booking.com service. After some trouble we called booking, and they confirmed the payment was done, and said they would contact the host. By this time we hadn't eaten, and 45 minutes had passed. Finally Booking contacted the host and explained to her where she could find the payment, and all was well.
