Excellent, will stay here during future visits to Taipei

✓ I had multiple options for breakfast, which was really good. I expected it to be a small hotel, but in fact, it was pretty big and offered excellent rooms. Since I used the MRT for traveling in the city, it was pretty accessible as well. You can directly exit the MRT station and to the hotel. The staff were super friendly and catered to my needs.

✗ Check-in time was really late. But it wasn't an issue for me because I arrived late, but it might be an issue for other travelers. The price is a bit on the higher end in retrospect, but it does offer a lot of stuff.

Beware the air conditioning

✓ After my room was changed because of an air conditioning problem all was fine and my new room was excellent. I note that others also report bad air conditioning so this is a problem the hotel is clearly not addressing. Hotel is right next to the MRT. The Taiwan food restaurant in the hotel is excellent, mainly patronised by Taipei residents.

✗ Air conditioning initially. My booking promised a view but in the original room that was a view between the hotel and the building next door. Breakfast was a bit disappointing in both places it is offered

✓ Location is really good as it’s right beside the train station. I really love the bed at Brother’s hotel. IT’S SUPPER COMFORTABLE! Way beyond my expectation! Highly recommended base on it’s location and super comfortable bed!!!

Super except for small complaint about check in and check out time.

✓ Super breakfast. Because I need to rush to HsinChu early in the morning, sometimes I need to skip the breakfast. The hotel allows me to invite friends to breakfast for unused coupon, which is super for me!

✗ check in time 4pm, which is one hour later than a typical hotel! Check out time 11am, which is another hour lost compared to other hotels.

Exceptional

✓ I've been traveling to Taiwan for 31 years and have always made a point at staying at Brother Hotel when in Taipei. Perfect location for shopping, public transportation and restaurants. The staff is the friendliest in Taiwan. The food at the Brother restaurant is old school Taiwanese. The rooms are clean and roomy. Just a great old school hotel! I highly recommend it!
