✓ Excellent welcoming staff they were always available for advice. I had a superb experience and hotel is very close to all the attractions of Stresa. As a cyclist the breakfast was outstanding with plenty of choice of foods and drinks, endless coffee. I cannot speak highly enough of the cleanliness and space in rooms and overall value for money for this hotel. I would not stay anywhere else in Stresa.

✓ Very clean, nice staff although communication was difficult, very spacious and comfortable room.

✗ There was no air conditioning in the room and most of the staff did not speak any language other than Italian.

✓ Location: 3 min from Stresa railway station, 7 min to city centre with a lot restaurants, cafe, shops, gelateries, etc, 10 min to ferry station where you can head to islands, 5 min to supermarket Conrad

✗ Breakfast is only buns, crispy bread slices, cereals, yogurt, jam, some pastry. Slices of bacon, cheese and salami. Would be great if eggs, fruits and vegetables were available

✓ A small, friendly family hotel. Recommended for a night or two! The rooms are perfectly fine and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast is wonderful. All in all a clear recommendation!

✗ It is not a luxury hotel but very suitable for a short stay. You have to hand in the keys when you go out in the evening. That could be improved.

✓ Room was fine for the value. Beautiful building not far from the old center and the lake. The young receptionist in the morning was very friendly and allowed us to extend checkout by about 45 minutes to let me friend shower. There is a great pizzeria down the block. That was amazing food.

✗ The room was small but it was completely appropriate for the price. No elevator so keep that in mind if you're on an upper floor. The older receptionist / owner were not the most engaging people but she was fine - just don't expect American friendliness. Only odd thing was when I asked for a dinner reservation in town, she said she didn't know any (I think she wanted me to eat in the hotel restaurant but I wanted to go into town).
