"A great stay at YHA Cheddar!
✓ Lovely welcome, excellent location for my particular purpose, safe, clean and disciplined environment. Lovely big room to myself - as it turned out. Excellent breakfast! Very clean and tidy self help kitchen area.
Nice hot shower that was easy to figure out and the water came hot right away! A washbasin in the room with hot and cold water.
I was able to park inside the property entrance.
The staff made every effort to be helpful and provide a welcoming and family atmosphere.
✗ There had evidently been sweaty shoes/feet(?) in the room, which had left an odour. But I soon forgot as I got on with settling in! (After all, the YHA is especially there for people who want to hike and explore on foot! 😀)
It was in every other way a great place to stay!

✗ Shower rooms are extremely cramped and shower force was very poor. Beds were and comfortable however the metal cot was making lot of noise when someone move in their bed.

✓ Great staff, good location. The room was clean. Very accommodating for me travelling with a young child.
✗ The only thing that would put me off staying again was the walls are absolutely paper thin, you hear everything including the extremely loud lock systems on doors. Our bed was comfy but the back rail was broken (didn't really make any difference though). I'd just say take ear plugs.
