Best Western Blois Château

Actual stay was good, encountered double charging which the staff was incredibly unhelpful about fix

✓ The actual stay was fine and the staff was kind, it was afterwards that I encountered problems

✗ I was double charged for the room as a "deposit" on the 6th and only just received my refund after being lied to by the staff when I went in and called and emailed every day the money was missing, saying "they were sending it now and it would be with me within 20 minutes" then being told they had no idea what I was talking about when I rang back asking about it about 2 hours later. I had no money due to this for about a week, and only just managed to make my food last before the money finally came back, it was a very stressful week and I'm incredibly unhappy and honestly am not happy I even paid £130 never mind the additional £130 that I was overcharged.

perfect place to stay when visiting town is main objective.

Dreary

✓ Room was spacious (we were upgraded and there was an extra bed we didn’t need)and bed comfortable.

✗ The room was groundfloor so we couldn’t have the windows open overnight in case of intruders. The access to the room was off the street into a small courtyard that was dirty with dumped rubbish, leaves and dog poo. The room itself was modern dreary (typical of that sort of hotel). Only two pillows. Mould on shower tiles. Service perfunctory.
